It's not a dairy product, why keep flax oil chilled?

Delicate oils such as flax oil contain high levels of alpha linolenic acid (omega 3). The high number of double bonds cause this oil to oxidize easily leading to rancidity. Cooler temperatures slow this oxidation process and prolong shelf life.

Proteco flax oil is nitrogen flushed to remove oxygen from the drums/tins, this also assists in keeping the oil fresher longer.
