Protein meals are used as a food supplement in stock feed rations for:

Fish

Used for their protein, fibre, amino acids and available energy in the way of residual fat/oil.

Protein meal is the bi-product of the vegetable oil production process and remains after the oil has been extracted from the nut or seed.

There are two oil extraction processes used for vegetable oil – mechanical expeller pressing and chemical solvent (hexane). The extraction method will impact on the oil (fat), protein and fibre percentages of the meal.

Proteco uses only mechanical expeller methods, therefore containing higher fat content.
